Below are examples of possible visiting researcher requirements a MSFC program might have and how VREO would meet those requirements.

Develop a computer database. The database will be web-based and is vital to the project definition and current and future projects. This requires a university student that is able to work part time throughout the year (thus, a student who is located in the Huntsville area) VREO posts a position for a Computer Science major at the following colleges/universities: Alabama A&M University, Oakwood College, University of Alabama in Huntsville, Calhoun Community College and Faulkner University.

VREO works with the MSFC researcher to select undergraduate research assistant, Ms. Smith, from a local college to work on-site at MSFC during the school year
Accomplish basic laboratory support work. This requires a high school or university student that is able to work part-time throughout the year (thus, a student who is located in the Huntsville area) VREO works with local area high schools, universities and colleges to find a qualified student to work part time after school
Increase public awareness of space project at MSFC. Prepare news articles for publications such as Technology Today, Technology Valley, Space News, Marshall STAR, Huntsville Times, etc. This position is a summer appointment VREO announces a temporary student position on the USRA and VREO web pages, sends announcement to various U.S. universities and colleges, and posts announcement at local colleges/universities (Alabama A&M University, Oakwood College, University of Alabama in Huntsville, Calhoun Community College and Faulkner University).

VREO works with the MSFC program to select undergraduate student Mr. Smith to work through USRA as a temporary summer employee.
